Gluttony Cross was fun. First event of the Fort Garry Bike Club's Nordic cross series. I managed to finish off 2 plates of East Indian Food... barely. Entry for the race was a pint of beer and 1 plate of food. For each subsequent plate (above 600grams) one would have to race one less lap. One guy managed 3 plates, and ended up winning since he only had to do 2 laps! Fun times, and new friends. It's great to start the New Year with a race!
I ran my commuter with full fenders and was the only guy on slick road tires... real smart-like... so the snowy river trails really beat me up!

Greg- I'm already fat. you know that! Planning to loose at least 5 for summer!
Glad you've got the blog back up. I just overhauled my bike and made a list of things to do- included are fork overhaul, rear hub tweaks, new crank, and some sexy ergon grips to make the hands comfy on the long hauls... of which we will have a few this summer!!

Ergons? Get outta my head... I been thinking of them for about a year... remember to check prices on anything HERE first.... I use them lots... from Ireland... but it comes fast!
I just made an order for them, got the GX1’s (no bar ends) for $32usd, they’re 30 pounds at chain reaction… but it’s a blowout at Pricepoint right now. I’m pretty Mennonite, and I am driven by sales…
I'm cheap too.. if that's what you are sayin'!
What is retail?
http://www.pricepoint.com/detail/17656-190_ERGGX8-3-Parts-61-Grips/Bar-Tape/Ergon-Gx-1-Grips-Standard.htm - they're regularely $34.98. Check out the deals they do have... pretty sweet... i also got a Sram990red cassette for $64- (FREAKING WOW) to complete my new drive train for 2010, running Single speed and 1x9 if i feel like it!
